During the ceremony H.E. Dr. Hala Zaid noted “That the Center is another example of Egypt’s keenness to support the advancement of the socio-economic conditions in Africa, and a pillar for future Egyptian-Ugandan cooperation in the fields of medicine, medical technology transfer, and capacity building.” On her side, the Ugandan State Minister of Health expressed the appreciation of the Ugandan government and people to Egypt for establishing the medical centre in Jinja, which will contribute to the improvement of the public healthcare in the local communities. She expressed interest in further collaboration with Egypt in capacity building, and in the field of women and child healthcare. 

 The Honorable John Mulimba, the Ugandan State Minister for Foreign Affairs–Regional Cooperation highlighted that “Uganda and Egypt enjoy very friendly relations and one of the fruits of this friendship is this medical center that we are opening today, among many other projects that the government of Egypt has invested in Uganda. I request the medical center to be a center of Excellence in providing the needed medical services to the Ugandan people and to provide a basis for training and skilling of Ugandans in the medical field. 

 Dr. Madiha Khattab the Executive Director of AFRI Pharma Company commented “Afri Pharma is a share holding company of a national group, dedicated to establish development and human services for sister African countries. This Medical Center is meant to impact life by providing a quality compassionate healthcare for patients, believing that health is the true wealth of our countries”. She praised the valuable support received from the Egyptian Ministry of Health, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development and other various National Egyptian entities.
